Four Foot Fotos, Ballarat

Steve Barnes

I'm the main photographer at Four Foot Fotos. I started out photography with my daughter who is unable to work, but able to sustain a few hours of activity; and she's crazy about dogs! She also likes alpacas, cats, sheep, horses, possums and almost anything else that breaths! But seriously, it's a real calling for us. I constantly run into people who have lost a pet recently, are missing them terribly and don't have a good photo to help them remember their personally. Life is too short to not take a moment to cement these memories with beautiful pet photography, and I can photograph you with your pet if you want a real momento.

Four Foot Fotos photographs chickens too!

“Chick Flicks” or “What came first: The Chicken or The Dog?”

Now that’s a good question! What did came first: the chicken or the dog? In this case it was the dog! We did the Collies’ Christmas portrait and photo shoot; and then once finished Angela reminded me her mum is an accomplished chicken breeder and she grabbed a few for a “Quick Chic Pic” before …

Ballarat International Foto Biennale: Lexi with Kevin & Winnie

“Winnie and Kevin joined our family in 2009 after the loss of our beloved cat. In 2014 our daughter Lexi was born, and Winnie immediately assigned herself to the motherly position of guarding her cot every night. As soon as Lexi outgrew her cot, Kevin took over the babysitting duties. Most nights he can be …

Ballarat International Foto Biennale: Hannah’s Tigger

Tigger is a 10 month old female French Bulldog. Her favourite thing is playing outside with Hannah, then cuddling up for a nap – although she snores so loudly we can’t hear the TV sometimes! She thinks human  toes are the best thing ever, even more than her old moccasin. She is also very fond …
